The Three Little Pigs

Once upon a time, there were three little pigs. They lived with their mom in a small house. One day, their mom said, "You are big now. It is time to build your own homes."

The three little pigs said goodbye to their mom. They walked down the road together. Soon they came to a place where three roads met.

"Let's each pick a road," said the first pig. "We can build our houses here."

The first little pig was lazy. He did not want to work hard. He saw a man with a cart full of straw.

"Please give me some straw," said the first pig. "I want to build a house."

The man gave him the straw. The first pig built his house very fast. It was made of yellow straw. The house looked pretty but it was not strong.

The second little pig was also lazy. He saw a man with sticks.

"Please give me some sticks," said the second pig. "I want to build a house."

The man gave him the sticks. The second pig built his house in one day. It was made of brown sticks. The house was a bit stronger than the straw house.

The third little pig was smart and hard-working. He saw a man with bricks.

"Please give me some bricks," said the third pig. "I want to build a house."

The man gave him the bricks. The third pig worked for many days. He built his house very carefully. It was made of red bricks. The house was very strong.

Soon a big bad wolf came to the woods. He was very hungry. He smelled the three little pigs.

The wolf went to the first pig's house. He knocked on the door.

"Little pig, little pig, let me come in!" said the wolf.

"No, no, no! I will not let you in!" said the first pig.

"Then I will huff and I will puff and I will blow your house in!" said the wolf.

The wolf took a big breath. He huffed and he puffed. He blew the straw house down! The first pig ran as fast as he could to his brother's stick house.

The wolf followed him. He knocked on the stick house door.

"Little pigs, little pigs, let me come in!" said the wolf.

"No, no, no! We will not let you in!" said the two pigs.

"Then I will huff and I will puff and I will blow your house in!" said the wolf.

The wolf took a bigger breath. He huffed and he puffed. He blew the stick house down! The two pigs ran as fast as they could to their brother's brick house.

The wolf followed them. He knocked on the brick house door.

"Little pigs, little pigs, let me come in!" said the wolf.

"No, no, no! We will not let you in!" said the three pigs.

"Then I will huff and I will puff and I will blow your house in!" said the wolf.

The wolf took his biggest breath. He huffed and he puffed. But he could not blow the brick house down! The house was too strong.

The wolf was very angry. He tried to climb on the roof. He wanted to come down the chimney.

But the third pig was smart. He had a big pot of water on the fire. The water was very hot.

When the wolf came down the chimney, he fell right into the hot water!

"Ouch! Ouch! Ouch!" cried the wolf. He jumped out of the pot and ran away. He never came back.

The three little pigs were safe. They lived happily in the strong brick house.

The first and second pigs learned something that day. They learned that hard work pays off. From then on, they always did their best work.
